Steve Rice, the owner of Dotcomjungle and B2B Dealer Portal, has worked in the outdoor and travel industries, on both sides of the business model for over 40 years: Alaskan fishing guide, rock climbing and mountaineering instructor, hard goods buyer and outdoor store manager, international travel company business growth director, web developer, systems integrator, and technical architect and advisor to hundreds of manufacturers and retailers. He even successfully built a team of local investors to buy and run an outdoor store for several years.
As a buyer, manager and owner, has bought products from every major manufacturer in the outdoor and travel industry using every major ordering system that has ever been invented, and came to the hard won conclusion that they all pretty much sucked (technical term, not to be used at home or the office!)
Every one of them is designed with features that buyers and manufacturers do not need, options that complicate ordering, access to tools that get in the way of getting the job done.
The Dotcomjungle team interviewed and product tested B2B Dealer Portal’s features with dealers, buyers, sales reps, sales managers, in house sales reps, national sales directors and more, with the never-ending directive from Steve to “Keep It Simple”.
